The finale of the All Filipino Cup Finals last night was something very special to me as fan of this team since 2003. Wow, how time flies it's been what 10 years? but it felt like I was just this high school girl who finally hooked up in PBA because of this one brave rookie guy named Jimmy Alapag and the rest as they say is history. Many Sports Analysts discussed the secrets of this team for being successful for the past 3 years and their analysis turned out to be right. As a fan I can help but made a self introspection as to why and how they achieved such feat and here it goes..some may agree some may not but it is a point view from a fan..
1. TNT is WE not I.
2.TNT values CAMARADERIE not INDIVIDUALITY.
3. TNT underscores TEAM CHEMISTRY more than particular STAR QUALITY.
4. TNT says "ALL FOR ONE, ONE FOR ALL" not "BE READY FOR A ONE MAN SHOW".
5. TNT displays SUAVE not SWAG.
6. TNT works hard to always be a CONTENDER and not just a mere ONE-TIME WINNER.
7. TNT always tries to RISE HIGHER not to back down and ROLL OVER.
8. TNT STANDS TALL every time they have their backs AGAINST THE WALL.
9. TNT shows RESILIENCY not SURRENDER MENTALITY.
10.TNT maintains to STAY HUMBLE and not to play as if they are INVINCIBLE.
11. TNT remains HUNGRY and not be satisfied with ONE TROPHY.
12. TNT aims to be part of HISTORY not just to build a BASKETBALL DYNASTY.
13. TNT is proven CHAMPION not just OVERNIGHT SENSATION.
I want to elaborate each but I felt that there's no need to that because it is self explanatory for it is seen on how they play the game. And again as a fan, I have to credit Coach Chot Reyes for building this culture of winning in this team, as Mighty Mouse put it.."bunch of special guys enjoying playing together,respecting each other."
Kudos as well to Coach Norman Black, a proven champion Coach..for instilling in his players that Defense indeed wins Championship.
Lastly to the players who really chose to set aside their egos and personal achievements for the greater good, hats off to all of you gentlemen..what a really class act!
This team builds to win.to be immortals. to be greats but filled themselves with so much humility.
And this is TNT BASKETBALL!☺♥
